The SAAYL’s main objectives include identifying the youth of today who display leadership qualities and moulding them for the future by encouraging, inspiring, and educating them through various methods. This course of action will assist in the social, cultural and economic development of youths by gearing them to meet life’s challenges as they will eventually become the future leaders of South Africa.
Target Market
The targeted groups for this organization come from both the public and private schools/sectors and purposely include the underrepresented. The combination of which can bring a variety of perspectives and experiences to the table. In a climate where diversity is practically a requisite, all groups are essential to the success of the programmes as they will complement each other in countless educationally and socially purposeful ways. The programmes are designed in such a way that the participants will stay engaged at all times which in turn will make them keen on returning to attend and participate in other programmes the SAAYL has to offer.
The first and primary targets of the Academy are the students between the ages of 14 to 24 year olds/ Grades 9 to 12 at Western Cape Government schools as well as universities.
